We are delighted that Peter will be leading our ministry during the weekend. We hope to have a second speaker to bring to us our early morning meditations whilst our INstep musicians will inspire us to worship

OBJECTIVE OF THE WEEKEND
We do hope that you are able to join us on this weekend retreat. INstep men weekends try to meet the need of the whole man, body, soul and spirit, as we spend time together over the weekend. We do, however, each have a personal responsibility to give and receive. We will be in a lovely part of the country and away from the usual daily demands.
The format of the weekend retreat will be similar to that of previous years. Full details will be sent to you closer to the weekend.
The group is made up of men from a wide age group from many different churches and Christian traditions, so there is a richness and diversity in our gathering.
Our last session of the weekend is following Sunday lunch, when we join together to share communion, which is a fitting end to our fellowship together. You would be very welcome to join us if this has meaning to you.
COST
This years it is £180 per person
A £30 deposits will need to be payed before the end of July, with the final payment due 4 weeks prior to the event.
The whole amount can be paid in one transaction by cash, cheque or bank transfer or by post dated cheques (details below)

We have a limited fund to assist people where full payment might present a difficulty (please speak to one of the INstep planning Team members)

SLEEPING ACCOMODATION
There are a mixture of single and shared bedrooms.
Single rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
In the day time we will have our own lounge and meeting room and will use the dining room for meals.
FOOD
We will usually use the main dining room for our meals. We are looking forward to good food and socially distanced fellowship around the tables together. On Saturday we anticipate a packed midday lunch. Please note our first evening meal on Friday will be at 7.30 pm.
If you have any special dietary requirements please indicate these when you make your booking.
RECREATION
We will have a Saturday walk for the fit and able. For those who prefer it is possible to remain on site and use the centres facilities and extensive grounds
TRAVEL ARRANGEMENT
Please do not arrive prior to 2.00 pm
Travel is generally organised by attendees, however should you require transport please advise us and we will try and facilitate something for you.
BY CAR
The Hayes is only 5 miles from M1. From Junction 28 of the M1 take the A38 dual carriage towards Derby. Leave the A38 at the exit marked A615 Matlock/A61 Chesterfield. At 0.8 miles turn left B6016 at the traffic lights by the church. 500yards down the road past the school buildings, veer right signed Conference Centre into Hayes lane. The conference centre is straight ahead. Postcode DE55 1AT
BY TRAIN
The Hayes is about 3 miles from the local Alfreton Station (Sheffield- Nottingham line) and runs every half hour.

Please check times with the train providers as these may be subject to change
Please be advised that there is no lift available at Alfreton Station, so passages may need to continue their journey on to a fully accessible station and return to Alfreton in order to arrive on the accessible side of the station.
Some guests may prefer to travel to Derby Station, with direct lines from London, then catch a bus (see below) or taxi from Derby to The Hayes. NB Derby Station is 1 mile from the centre of Derby, all buses heading into town from the station all stop at the bus station.
BY TAXI
We recommend that you pre-book taxis if arriving at Alfreton and Derby Stations. Our recommended reliable taxi company is Amber Taxis. As a guide, Amber Taxis charge £25.00 from Derby Station and £6.00 from Alfreton Station (please quote The Hayes to ensure these rates)
