In the darkness of my soul, I found solace in the music of Black Sabbath
Their heavy riffs and haunting lyrics spoke to the pain within.
But then a friend came to me with a different tale
Of a love so pure and divine, of a saviour named Jesus
At first, I scoffed at the idea of falling in love with a man I'd never met
But as my friend spoke of miracles and grace, something stirred within me
I was plagued by deafness in my right ear, epilepsy that haunted my days
Self-harm scars that marred my skin and a heart murmur that threatened my life
Desperate for a change, I decided to give this Jesus a chance
I knelt in prayer, tears streaming down my face, pleading for healing and redemption
And to my amazement, I felt a warmth wash over me, a whisper of peace in the storm
Suddenly, the deafness in my ear was gone, and the seizures no longer plagued me
I found myself free from the darkness that had consumed me
My heart healed, my mind at peace, my soul ablaze with a newfound faith
I surrendered my pain and my sins to the one who had died for me
In return, I found a love so pure and profound, a love that never fails
So, to Black Sabbath, I bid farewell
For in Jesus, I have found a greater love than any music could ever offer
I am reborn, redeemed, and restored in the arms of my Saviour
Me and Jesus, what a truth to fall in love with.
